Mollie King is "panicking" about learning the routines on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because she usually "takes a "little while" to pick up things up.
The Saturdays singer’s band mate Frankie Bridge – who took part in the competition herself in 2014 and came runner-up with her partner Kevin Clifton – can’t wait to see her blonde friend take to the dance floor for the ballroom and latin show in the autumn, but has admitted that she knows her pal will be riddled with nerves.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (18.08.17), Frankie, 28, said: "I can’t wait. I’m not surprised at all. When I was doing it, Kevin sometimes came to work with me and she always wanted to have a go. She’ll look amazing in those costumes. She finds it a little bit harder to pick things up and that’s what she’s panicking about. I was like ‘please just enjoy it because it’ll be over so soon’. I wish I could do it every year."
The two singers remained close friends after their band – which also included Vanessa White, Una Healy and Rochelle Humes – went on a hiatus back in 2015.
Now Frankie – who used to date McFly bassist Dougie Poynter – has two young sons, Parker and Carter, with her footballer husband Wayne Bridge and is currently promoting a new three-part series about internet trolling.
She said: "I was really surprised that people weren’t aware that this goes on. I find it a really important subject. Social media is massive, it can be an amazing platform but some people use it in a wrong way. "
The new show called ‘Celeb Trolls: We’re Coming To Get You’ finds victims and the team try and track down the troll.
Frankie said: "We find a victim and we try and track down their troll, so much hard work goes into it. We send them a letter, give them an opportunity to speak. If they say no – we just turn up. A lot of them run away. It says a lot – it shows they’re cowards."
