Frank Grillo says next Captain America ‘could be African American’

Frank Grillo thinks an African American actor could be in line to replace Chris Evans as Captain America.
The 53-year-old actor – who played Crossbones in the second and third ‘Captain America’ films – has admitted to hearing various rumours about the identity of Chris’ replacement as the iconic superhero.
He told Larry King: "I don’t know, but there have been rumours that Captain America could be African American. It could be a woman. You know? So they’re looking."
Chris, 37, is poised to walk away from the coveted role at the end of the fourth ‘Avengers’ movie, having starred in multiple Marvel films.
But the Hollywood star previously admitted to attending therapy when he took the role, confessing he was "apprehensive about taking the movie".
Chris shared: "I was nervous about the lifestyle change, about the commitment.
"You know, it’s six movies, that can last 10 years. I love making movies but I’m not dead set on being a gigantic movie star. I like to have the option to walk away if I want, with a six-picture deal, you can’t walk away.
"I also like having anonymity, I’ve managed to work and kind of stay under the radar. You know, I’m not on top of everyone’s list and I can’t make any movie I want. I can make some and I make a decent living, but I can still go to a ballgame or Disney world. Losing that and having to change my lifestyle was just terrifying."
