Frank Bruno for Strictly Come Dancing?

Frank Bruno wants to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former heavyweight champion – who retired from boxing 20 years ago but is trying to make a comeback – is desperate to persuade bosses of the Ballroom and Latin show to take him on for the next series because he thinks he’d surprise everyone with his snake-hips and booty shakes.
A source told the RadioTimes.com: "Frank Bruno would love to do it. Firstly, he’s athletic. Secondly, he thinks he could do quite well in it and thirdly it’s great profile. The public would enjoy him on it – he’s a funny person."
But it seems producers will need to get in there quick if they want to nab the 54-year-old legend for this year as bosses of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ have also reportedly expressed an interest in him and want him for the jungle.
And friends of Frank – who has a history of mental health issues, including bipolar disorder – believe now will be the perfect time for him to take part in a reality TV series because he’s "mentally and health-wise in a great place."
Meanwhile, if Frank does manage to secure a slot on the ‘Strictly…’ line-up, he won’t be the first boxer to hit the dance floor in the hope of lifting the glitterball trophy at the end of the series.
Joe Calzaghe gave it his best shot in 2009 when he partnered up with Kristina Rihanoff, while Anthony Ogogo had a go at the competition just last year.
