Former EastEnders boss slams schedule changes

Dominic Treadwell-Collins has called for the Women’s World Cup to be moved for ‘EastEnders’ rather than the soap making way for the "bloody football".
The former show boss believes the programme is on fire at the moment following a "fallow period", but he is disappointed to see the BBC One soap’s schedule recently disrupted due to the football tournament taking priority.
He tweeted: "Every time #EastEnders starts to rebuild its viewers’ loyalty after a fallow period, it’s moved around in the schedules for the bloody football. Move the football around #EastEnders. It’s en fuego at the moment. (sic)"
Dominic is happy the soap "is back", and admitted he and his team always put the hours in to try to ensure the show was successful.
He wrote: "We worked very hard and made sure we had fun doing it! So happy Enders is back."
Former ‘EastEnders’ writer Leo Richardson tweeted: "Dom is a bloody genius and had such a clear vision. We all knew exactly what he wanted so it was easy. When that’s right, it works! So happy to hear it’s doing well again!"
EastEnders’ latest schedule change came last Friday (28.06.19) when France v USA aired instead, after two episodes aired last Tuesday (25.06.19) and the Friday ep was shown on Thursday (27.06.19).
There are also two visits to Walford scheduled for Monday (01.07.19) rather than the usual one, because there is no ‘EastEnders’ tomorrow (02.07.19) when England take on USA.
But some ‘EastEnders’ fans will be pleased to hear the Women’s World Cup final is to take place on Sunday (07.07.19).
