FKA twigs held a free dance workshop for over 400 people on Tuesday (19.07.16).
The ‘Good to Love’ hitmaker was thrilled to see so many people turn up for her event at Lithuanian Hall in Baltimore, despite the 32-degree heat, and live tweeted throughout.
Taking to her Twitter account at the time, she said: "excited to see everyone at workshop today, 5pm lith centre baltimore. joined by choreographers @RamonBaynes @KashPowell @_MrDLawrence (sic)."
Twigs – whose real name Tahliah Barnett – went on to announce the workshop had started, thanked everyone for taking part and gave fans information about when their tickets for her show that evening would be available.
She explained: "our baltimore dance workshop is under way. Baltimore got this. baltimore we did it and it was beautiful! thanks to all who took part, your tickets/info for tonight’s pier 6 show will be emailed shortly (sic)."
However, the brunette beauty has admitted she was initially worried no one would turn up to the free event.
Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, she said: "This is like the best day I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not Mother Teresa … I hate the phrase ‘giving back to the community’ because it’s patronising. I’m so happy that it turned out exactly how I wanted it to be. Imagine if no one came, that’d be so awful; I was like, ‘I want to do a dance workshop!’ and everyone’s like ‘Nah, it’s cool."
Twigs announced the workshop was taking place just 24 hours before the doors opened via her Twitter account.
