Ferne McCann is learning to be a bus driver.
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star has revealed she has successfully passed her theory test and is gearing up for her practical in a bid to encourage more female bus drivers.
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, she said: "I mentioned the other week that I was getting my bus license and I’m doing this to encourage more female bus drivers. Less that 8% bus drivers are female, so why not? Why can’t women become bus drivers?
"I kid you not, I’m not just doing this as a little challenge, I’m fully blown going for my bus license! If all goes wrong, I can become a bus driver!"
The 25-year-old television personality admits it has been "challenging" at times and has confessed to hitting "a few curbs" now and again.
She added: "It’s such a massive task and it’s been so challenging. I’m not the best driver but this is huge! It’s like a giant go kart! The wheels are behind you so you almost have to do every maneuver a little bit late …
"I’ve been driving around East London in a bus and I’ve got people at traffic light going ‘Is that who I think it is driving a bus?’ But it’s been fun. Although I’ve hit a few curbs I’m not gonna lie!"
