Ferne McCann has been craving damp sponges.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star has spent the majority of her pregnancy scoffing salt and vinegar crisps but has admitted her cravings have changed dramatically in her third trimester and she now likes the smell of built-up moisture.
She explained: "I’ve gone from craving salt and vinegar crisps to weird damp smells! I could sit here and take great pleasure in burying my nose in a sponge."
The 27-year-old beauty is just weeks away from giving birth to her first child but ditched the plan to have a baby shower because it was "stressing" her out too much.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "I couldn’t find a venue and it was stressing me out. I’m definitely going to celebrate when the baby is here and have a blessing."
Ferne has been filming her pregnancy for her 90-minute special ‘First Time Mum’ and is hoping to get a bit of the labour on camera too, although not her giving birth.
She said: "It’s a 90-minute special that follows me throughout my pregnancy. I’m quite quirky so you’ll see me meet a witch doctor, who blesses the unborn child, and discuss different birthing options.
"Being pregnant is a nerve-wracking time, so I think people will relate to it. I really want my birth to be featured. But obviously I won’t be doing a Kourtney Kardashian and pulling my baby out myself. There will definitely be bits of me in labour, though!"
