Ferne McCann has confirmed she’s been offered a Hollywood film role and flies out to Los Angeles for further talks in July.
The 25-year-old presenter – who quit ‘The Only Way is Essex’ in February after a successful stint in the jungle on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ – was offered the part while she was in the South of France for the Cannes Film Festival and she can’t believe she’s going to be a film star.
During the daily showbiz news segment on ‘This Morning’, Ferne – who played Myrtle Wilson in a theatre production of ‘The Great Gatsby’ in April – said: "After my musical debut I found my calling – I just loved it, I want to act. I want to be in films. I went out to Cannes, I went last year, loved it, went back again, had a few meetings, have been offered a film role, going out to LA in July to talk more. No dream is too big guys! It almost seems a little too good to be true so we’ll see."
The role is believed to be in a major movie alongside Margot Robbie.
Earlier this week, a source said: "Ferne has landed her first movie role alongside Margot. It’s going to be amazing and it’s her dream role. She’s playing a police woman, it’s as you’ve never seen her before. The film title hasn’t been decided yet and it’s all at very early stages. Ferne’s caught the eye of a lot of movie bosses."
‘This Morning’ host Phillip Schofield asked Ferne: "Do you know what sort of movie it is?"
But she stayed coy, saying: "Yes … I can say it’s absolutely not an adult movie!"
Her bog screen debut role is a dream come true for Ferne as she is a huge admirer of ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ actress Margot, 25.
The Essex girl recently said: "Everyone’s dream role would be in a Marvel film. Or I would like to do something really sassy. I really love Margot Robbie and her career and how that’s going. Every part she does I just think, yes."
