‘Emmerdale’s Sophie Powles has teased that things are set to get "really bad" for her character Holly Barton this month.
The 27-year-old actress has revealed that there’s still plenty to come for her alter-ego over the next few weeks as the consequences of her heroin addiction come back to bite her and spell trouble for her mother Moira (Natalie J. Robb).
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday (20.07.16), the brunette beauty said: "It’s gonna really bad. I’m really proud of the storyline and how it can affect a whole family.
"Holly’s not a bad person. She’s made bad decisions and she’s got caught up in this mad addiction and now unfortunately the bad decisions that she’s made will really affect her mother’s life and have really bad consequences."
Meanwhile, Sophie returned to the long-running soap earlier this year following a four-year break and is thrilled she was asked to go back rather than bosses re-casting her.
She said recently: "I think it would have been weird, you know, ‘What’s she doing in my house?’
"But luckily that didn’t happen, and I’m really grateful for this opportunity and to be working with some of my best friends again, cast and crew. It’s just the best place."
