Emmerdale’s Debbie Dingle looks set to swap the Dales for Scotland – to tie in with Charley Webb’s maternity leave.
The 31-year-old actress temporarily left the ITV soap last week ahead of giving birth to her third child with husband and co-star Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe), and her character appears to be planning a move up north.
Debbie’s aunt Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) became suspicious when her niece was being distant, and her relative then revealed she has plans to relocate to Scotland.
It comes after Debbie and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) were left a garage in Scotland by Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox), Belle’s late mother.
However, Chas convinced Debbie to discuss the plans further before coming to a concrete decision.
Charley – who also has kids Buster, nine, and three-year-old Bowie with Matthew – began her maternity leave on Saturday (13.07.19) and enjoyed soaking up the sun.
She wrote on Twitter: "First day of maternity leave and the suns shining. YES! I’ll be found in the garden sunbathing (for about 20 seconds before one of the kids need me) (sic)"
But it’s not been an easy pregnancy for Charley as she has recently been struggling to stay awake past 4pm.
She wrote on Twitter: "I am SO tired. It gets to 4pm and I’m done. I forget just how tiring being pregnant is. And then I do it again and remember (sic)"
What’s more, the 31-year-old star has been left in "agony" after she was diagnosed with a pregnancy-related pelvic condition SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction), which has seen her muscles relax too much ahead of her birth.
She said: "I still get waves of sickness but I’ve also been diagnosed with SPD [symphysis pubis dysfunction].
"It’s when your muscles have relaxed too much ready for the birth.
"It’s agony."
