Claire King will return to ‘Emmerdale’ at the end of February.
The 56-year-old actress has confirmed she will be back on the Yorkshire-based set later this month to shoot her comeback scenes as soap superbitch Kim Tate, and she will return to our screens at the end of next month.
In response to a fan who asked when Kim – who is currently imprisoned on the ITV soap – will be back, Claire wrote on Twitter: "On screen end Feb/beginning ofMarch x
"I’m back filming in Jan! X (sic)"
In October, Claire made a brief return to the Dales after Kim was released from jail, but the character was sent back to prison soon afterwards for driving her Aston Martin without being insured, and the actress then confirmed she will head back to the soap in 2019.
She said: "You knew she wasn’t going to go away quietly, so I’m so pleased to announce Kim will be back.
"It’s been great fun keeping it under wraps but now she can really get down to business!"
Following her latest Dales departure, the former ‘Bad Girls’ actress starred in crime thriller movie ‘King of Crime’ as no-nonsense Yvonne King, the wife of drug lord Marcus King (Mark Wingett), and she admitted her film alter-ego made Kim "look like a pussycat".
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "She makes Kim Tate looks like a pussycat really. People won’t be surprised taking on Yvonne King.
"The good thing is I’m nothing like these characters. It’s great to get it out there without being horrible in real life. You just do it through your characters you’re given, which is great because you get away with murder. Literally."
Yvonne brutally murdered another character just minutes into ‘King of Crime’ before walking around her house with a blood-stained top on as if nothing has happened – and Claire admitted her character’s "over-the-top" nature was partly what attracted her to the film.
She added: "I like the fact she slaughtered somebody before the titles even dropped. It was like, ‘Oh God yeah, this is camp and over-the-top and brilliant.’ "
