Emmerale’s Liam Fox teases Dan Spencer and Mandy Dingle romance

Liam Fox wants a romance between Dan Spencer and Mandy Dingle.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor admitted he’d love to see his character find a spark with Lisa Riley’s alter ego, even though their recent on-screen date didn’t go to plan as Liam had an allergic reaction to a vegan cake.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column, he said: "They might do, which would be great because Lisa is ace to work with.
"It’s nice to get back to a bit of comedy. And Lisa can do it all. She’s brilliant. I really want to work more with her down the line."
Although the 49-year-old soap star explained both characters have their "own stories going on" for now, he teased more of the pair as time goes on.
He added: "There’s some stuff going on between Dan and Mandy so maybe somewhere further down the line they’ll do something.
"At the moment Lisa has her own stories going on for Mandy, and Dan’s got his own stories. But in the future, who knows?"
Liam also teased the possibility of Dan – whose relationship with Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) is rocky at the moment – settling down and having a family.
He said: "Eventually you want your character to have their own little unit and stuff. Whether that is Mandy or somebody else, who knows?"
Lisa – who first appeared on ‘Emmerdale’ from 1995 to 2001 – was back on set last summer for the first time in 18 years, and she was excited to reconnect with her co-stars.
The 43-year-old actress previously tweeted: "The biggest excitement for me personally is being back with all my old friends, who I love like REAL FAMILY….I want to REALLY thank you ALL for you endless support and gorgeousness regarding my return, I’m very you are not going to be let down.
"EXCITING TIMES AHEAD #emmerdale #itv #mandydingle #greatnews #goodnews #happy #excited #confimed #truth (sic)"
