Emma Stone has jokingly complained "many times" about working with Ryan Gosling.
The ‘La La Land’ star quipped she had had enough of acting alongside her co-star as she walked the red carpet at the 70th British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday (12.02.17).
Interviewer Zoe Ball told her: "This is the third time you’ve been forced into a romantic role with Ryan Gosling. I think you should perhaps complain to your union!"
To which she joked back: "Oh I have! Many times! It seems like no one’s listening!"
And Emma admits she felt "a lot of pressure" to get her part in the movie perfect but says that is part of what made it so "fun".
She shared: "There was a lot of pressure with that movie but that is what makes it exciting.
"It was ambitious and challenging but that’s part of the fun of getting to do this movie."
Meanwhile, Emma – who has already won or been nominated for a number of awards for her part in the critically acclaimed musical – previously admitted that she enjoyed sharing her "traumatic audition" experience on the set of ‘La La Land’.
She said: "With ‘Birdman’, my character was outside the actor’s mind really – she was just his daughter, not totally involved in that world. But with ‘La La Land’, I had a little more trepidation playing an actress in Los Angeles who was auditioning over and over. It’s pretty close to my exact appearance when I first moved there. It was scary – like, is this going to be too much? But then it quickly became fun because we were all sharing horror stories and dramatising our little traumatic auditions."
