Emma Atkins doesn’t want her son to become an actor.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star – who is known for playing mischievous businesswoman Charity Dingle in the long-running soap – has already banned her 13-month-old son Albert from following in her footsteps and having a career in TV as she’d rather he set his sights higher and became a doctor or a spaceman.
Asked if she would allow Albert to become an actor when he’s older, she said: "No! Absolutely no way, he’s not doing it. Doctor, spaceman – but not an actor!"
But it seems Albert has already started settling into the TV life as Emma has been taking the tot to work with her.
She explained: "He’s come into work a few times – he’s been in the make-up room, and all the girls just go crazy for him because he’s such a cutie!"
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old actress has just returned to work following a year off on maternity leave and has admitted she has only just found her motherhood-career balance.
She told Inside Soap magazine: "I think everything needs a balance: life, work, everything – and now I’ve got that balance. And I’ve had such a luxurious amount of time off."
