Emily Ratajkowski wants to be friends with Beyoncé.
The ‘Gone Girl’ actress thinks the ‘Formation’ singer would be an "awesome person" to hang out with, while her dream girl squad would also include real-life pal Lena Dunham and late singer Prince, who died at the age of 57 last month.
She said: "In my girl squad, I guess it’s girls but I would have loved to have Prince I think that he would’ve worked with a girl squad
"Beyoncé, obviously. [Her visual album] ‘Lemonade’ is amazing and I think she’d be a really awesome person to hang out with. And then Lena Dunham. I’m lucky to know her in real life and she actually just had her birthday yesterday. She’s a lot of fun."
The 24-year-old star – who famously defended Kim Kardashian West against criticism of her naked selfie and later joined her in posing topless in solidarity – also spoke of her belief that true beauty comes from having self-confidence and not comparing assets and appearances with other people.
Speaking to DJ Gabby Sanderson at the Soap & Glory’s Beauty Boudoir at the Wango Tango music festival, she said: "I think it’s really about not comparing yourself to other people and realising especially with your physical body that’s what you’re given and learning to love that and accept that and realize that everyone feels that way.
"So you might be looking at someone and thinking, ‘Oh, they have everything I want,’ and they’re thinking the same thing. So once you get past that you can start to really like yourself and everyone else around you responds to that as well."
Emily loves going out with her friends, but particularly enjoys the ritual of getting ready for the night.
She said: "I love to light some candles, put on some good music and then I just really like to give myself extra time to make sure I don’t have to rush at all."
