Emily Atack insisted there’s much more to her than "a pouty face and a pair of boobs".
The 30-year-old actress has revealed she is keen to shake off her old pin-up girl image, and explained she’s actually just a "wobbly-a****, freckly-faced, fun girl".
Emily said: "People think that if you look a certain way you can’t write, or you don’t have an opinion.
"I thought I needed to almost reinvent myself and show that there is more to me than a pouty face and a pair of boobs.
"The irony of it was that, my whole life, I’d been striving to be sexy when in fact being what I really am – a wobbly-a****, freckly-faced, fun girl – is what makes me feel happiest."
The star has recently been working on her own pilot for ITV2, and after splitting from film producer Rob Jowers, the actress has insisted she’s happily single for the time being.
Emily – who starred in ‘The Inbetweeners’ – told the Mail on Sunday newspaper’s You magazine: "As much as I love men, they have clouded my mind and spoilt my plans my whole life.
"I’m talking about from nursery days when I was supposed to be playing with toys, I was off playing kiss-chase with the fellas.
"I’m not doing that now and I’ve found a lot of peace being on my own."
Emily – who appeared on ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ in 2018 – is currently focused on her career and revealed she doesn’t want to be distracted by her love life.
Speaking about her short-term ambitions, she explained: "I’m genuinely trying to focus on myself and my career. I’m not letting the boys distract me for once and it’s a really nice feeling."
