Emily Atack can’t wait to reunite with her family once lockdown is eased.
The 30-year-old actress admits she’s more worried about seeing her loved ones than trying to find a man once coronavirus restrictions are loosened.
Emily said to MailOnline: "I think the first step is to see friends and family. I certainly can’t wait to go out with my single friends again, but snogs can come later.
"I just want to see my parents, brother and sister again. I joke all the time about how fun dating and being single is but for me I just want to hug my mummy!
"I’ve been slowly socially distancing myself and meeting up with a few members of the family, but for example there’s a new baby in the family who I can’t wait to hold. For me at the moment it’s all about family, boys can wait."
Emily has spent lockdown alone in her north London flat and insists that she has "just been going along with it".
‘The Inbetweeners’ star said: "It feels like so long ago that we were given the horrific news that we all have to stay in.
"I’ve been cooking, Zooming and FaceTiming a lot. I’d love to say that I’ve become a yoga teacher, but that’s never going to happen!
"I’ve just been going along with it. I’ve been doing the Clap For Our Carers applause with everyone on Thursday, so even though I live alone, I’ve been able to see my neighbours."
Emily also thinks the pandemic has proven she takes her friends and family for granted.
The TV star explained: "It’s been a really interesting time and so heartbreaking, we won’t know anything like this in our lifetime, so it’s so important to reflect. I’m so grateful that my friends and family are healthy, we take things for granted in life.
"We have to look at everything and appreciate each other. It’s been hard but we’re coming out the other side now. I’m so grateful to still have my health and family, I genuinely, genuinely mean that."
