Ellie Goulding joins Capital Jingle Bell Ball line up

Ellie Goulding has been added to the line up for this year’s Capital Jingle Bell Ball.
The ‘Love Me Like You Do’ hitmaker will join Shawn Mendes, DNCE, Louisa Johnson, The Vamps, Jonas Blue, Years & Years and James Arthur for night two of the annual festive event on Sunday December 4 at London’s The O2.
Ashley Tabor, founder and executive president of Global and managing editor of Capital, said: "This morning on Capital Breakfast, Dave, George & Lilah closed our big reveal week on a massive high with the news that Ellie joins the line-up for night two of the ball. She is one of the world’s biggest-selling female artists and an exceptional talent. I know Ellie will bring her stunning vocals and limitless energy to the event. We can’t wait to welcome her to the stage at London’s O2 Arena with all the other incredible acts. The countdown to Christmas is on!"
The two-day event will also include performers Little Mix, Craig David, Clean Bandit, Louisa Johnson, Dua Lipa, Sigala, Nathan Sykes, Olly Murs and headliner Calvin Harris, who will take to the stage in front of 20,000 fans on Saturday December 3.
It could be one of the last chances to see the ‘Still Falling For You’ hitmaker this year as he previously revealed she is planning on taking a break, although she didn’t say when that would be.
She said: admitted she was looking forward to taking a career break soon.
She said: "I’m still going to be writing, but it’s been so overwhelming the past few years that it’s time to go away for a little bit and be out of the limelight.
"It’s really a commitment, being on the road; you almost put everything on hold – seeing family, seeing friends. I’ve missed so many weddings and births.
"It will be nice to wake up and know I don’t have anything to do."
