Edgar Wright working on Baby Driver sequel

Edgar Wright has confirmed ‘Baby Driver 2’ is in the works.
The 43-year-old filmmaker wrote and directed the 2017 widely acclaimed crime thriller starring Ansel Elgort, Lily James and Jon Hamm, and following its success, Wright played coy about a potential sequel.
However, now Wright has confirmed he is working on writing a sequel and has "lots if ideas".
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Wright said: "Those talks are already in the works. The deal is being hammered out as we speak.
"Hopefully, I’m going to at least write a second one. I’ve definitely got lots of ideas. Whether it’s the next movie, I don’t know.
"I’m just working that out at the moment, actually. I have a couple of things that I’ve been developing, and also a couple of new ideas that I had, and all the nice things that I’ve been offered since."
‘Baby Driver’ follows getaway driver Baby (Elgort) who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game.
After meeting the woman of his dreams (James), he sees a chance to ditch his shady lifestyle and make a clean break.
However, he is coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey) and he must face the music as a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
Although Wright is currently writing a sequel, he is hoping to move his next project a little faster after the four year wait between ‘The World’s End’ and ‘Baby Driver’.
He said: "I would like to get back on the saddle very shortly, because – slightly beyond my control – but there was four years between ‘The World’s End’ and ‘Baby Driver’.
"I don’t want it to be that long again. I would love to have a film out in the next two years."
