Ed Sheeran lends voice to charity game

Ed Sheeran and Katie Price have leant their voices to a Red Nose Day game.
The ‘Castle on the Hill’ hitmaker and the ‘Loose Women’ panellist have agreed to take part in the online comic strip ‘The Red Noses’ alongside the likes of Professor Stephen Hawking, Warwick Davis, Hugh Dennis and Harry Hill in order to raise money for Comic Relief.
Nick Grimshaw, Sir Lenny Henry, ‘The One Show’s Alex Jones have also jumped on board the project, which sees players attempt to save Red Nose Day – an event put on every two years by the charity in the hope of raising cash – by voicing bouncing bright red snozzles.
Professor Hawking said: "I’m a world-renowned scientist who has shaped our understanding of the universe and I am being asked to make snot jokes. I must really like this charity."
Ahead of the event, which is held in March, Ed travelled to the Liberian capital of Monrovia to meet the children who benefited first hand from the work of Comic Relief following the outbreak of Ebola and has admitted the experience will be one he never forgets.
He explained: "I’ll never forget the kids I met on this trip, when we sang together they were in such high spirits despite everything they’d been through.
"It was an incredibly eye-opening experience and I’m really proud to support Comic Relief and see what they are doing to help these children have a better future."
Some huge television stars – including David Baddiel, Hugh Dennis, Michaela Coel, Katy Brand, Reggie Yates and Russell Kane – are to travel from Kenya to Uganda to distribute supplies bought by the charity, founded in 1985, to those in need.
Red Nose Day will also see a number of celebrity guests; such as Sir Lenny, Graham Norton, Mrs Brown, Sally Phillips, Miranda Hart, Jonathan Ross, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, Greg Davies and Joe Lycett get stuck in to the fun and games.
