Ed Sheeran can’t answer any emails because of the injuries he got in his cycling accident.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker suffered fractures in his left elbow and right wrist and hurt his ribs after being involved in the incident in London earlier this week.
Ed, 26, isn’t sure if any of his famous friends have been in touch with get well soon messages because he can’t access his emails.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz about his dilemma at the Q Awards in the UK capital on Wednesday (18.10.17), he said: "I can’t type at the moment, I’ve had a lot of emails but I haven’t been able to look at them, I have an automatic reply that just goes out when I get an email so I don’t know anyone whose emailed me because I can’t look at them."
Ed has had to cancel a string of shows in Asia, including dates in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong, because he can’t play the guitar while his broken bones heal.
The ‘Castle on the Hill’ singer expects to be out of action for around a month and he might spend that time writing a song about his bike riding accident.
He said: "I’ve done my wrist, elbow and rib, I can’t do done shows but I’ll be back in a month … I’ll probably write a song about it."
Ed’s mood was lifted at the ceremony, held at The Roundhouse venue, when he was named Best Act in the World Today.
He was presented with his prize by ‘Game of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams and made a joke about his less than perfect physical state.
He said: "I know I’m a bit of a cripple today, but thanks. This award is actually a bit heavy."
