Corey Haim accused the late Michael Jackson of "assaulting" him while filming his reality show ‘The Two Coreys’, a movie producer has claimed.
The ‘Lost Boys’ star – who died of pneumonia aged 38 in 2010 – reportedly confided in producer Ed Meyer in 2008 about the "problem" he had with the King of Pop, and also actor Charlie Sheen, who was previously accused of having sex with his ‘Lucas’ co-star when Corey was just 13 years old and Sheen was 19.
Ed told RadarOnline.com: "Corey said, ‘I have a problem with Michael Jackson and with Charlie Sheen. I was assaulted by these guys, and a few others.’ I didn’t feel it was appropriate to say, ‘Who are the other people?’ "
Although Corey never described the assaults as sexual, the producer insists his meaning was clear.
He added: "He didn’t use the word sexual in either case. [It was just], ‘I was assaulted by these guys and a few others.’ "
The ‘Dream a Little Dream’ actor made his revelation while filming at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, in scenes where he asked Ed and other casting directors to help him revive his career, and one of the group knew Charlie, much to the late star’s shock.
Ed recalled: "You could see he was shook a little bit. He didn’t expect it, and I started kicking him under the table, like, ‘Back off!’ "
According to the producer, Corey – who appeared on the show with his friend Corey Feldman – then made his claims about Charlie and Michael but the scenes were eventually cut because the actor had gone "overboard" in his rant.
Ed recalled: "[Corey] was basically saying it was a dark time in his life, but he felt he was over that, and he was moving on and looking for work, and that played into what we were doing on camera…
"A&E filmed the video, and they did not air our piece because Corey was going overboard, venting. If it had aired, I think you would have had law enforcement looking into Charlie!"
Ed’s account comes after former actor Dominick Brascia, a close friend of Corey, claimed his pal told him ‘Platoon’ star Charlie had sodomised him on the set of 1986’s ‘Lucas’.
He said: "Haim told me he had sex with Sheen when they filmed ‘Lucas’. He told me they smoked pot and had sex. Haim said after it happened, Sheen became very cold and rejected him."
