Ed Helms to star in ‘Epic Fail’

Ed Helms will star in ‘Epic Fail’.

The 40-year-old actor is set to feature in Lionsgate’s forthcoming film which he and producer Nicky Weinstock came up with, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Weinstock will produce through his Invention Films banner, along with Helms and Michael Falbo via their Pacific Electric Picture Company banner.

Meanwhile, Whitney Thomas of Invention Films will executive produce.

Mike Arnold and Chris Poole will pen the scrip for the film, which tells the story of a special forces team who are on a mission to save America.

Helms – who is best known for ‘The Office’ and the ‘Hangover’ trilogy – is also set to star in the reboot of ‘The Naked Gun’ franchise.

The actor will take the lead role in Paramount Pictures’ new take on the comedy franchise, playing bumbling police officer Frank Drebin, who was made famous by Leslie Nielsen.

Meanwhile, he recently wrapped up ‘Someone Marry Barry’ alongside Tyler Labine and ‘They Came Together’ with Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd.
