EastEnders’ Perry Fenwick won’t rule out Billy and Honey reunion

Perry Fenwick says his "lips are sealed" on a potential reunion for Billy and Honey Mitchell.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor was asked to weigh in on whether his and Emma Barton’s characters will rekindle their romance after Honey’s dramatic breakup from another cheat, Adam Bateman (Stephen Rahman-Hughes).
Appearing on ‘Strictly: It Takes Two’ on Thursday night (12.12.19), he was asked by host Zoe Ball if they could get back together and responded: "I’ll have to think about that.
"My lips are sealed."
The 57-year-old soap star was appearing on the BBC ballroom spin-off show to support co-star Emma ahead of the competition’s grand final this weekend.
And Perry heaped praise on his cast mate for managing to expertly balance her ‘Strictly’ rehearsals with filming for the Beeb show each week.
He added: "She’s absolutely blown me away. She’s a talented actress, she really is. She’s a great person to work with.
"When she started doing ‘Strictly’ we were still doing ‘EastEnders’ together, and I couldn’t work out how I could work with her five days a week, 12-hour days, and then I’d go home and watch TV on Saturday night and there she is up there dancing. I thought the BBC had cloned her."
Meanwhile, Perry celebrated 20 years on the soap in 2018, and he admitted at the time taht he almost turned down the role of clumsy Billy because he was initially told it would just be for a few episodes.
He said: "I had a lot of mates that were in this show. Nick Berry [who played Simon ‘Wicksy’ Wicks] was my best mate at school, so I’d often visit him on the set and say to myself: ‘This is a nice touch.’ And to think I nearly turned the role of Billy down when they offered it to me! I found out that it was only for three episodes initially, and I thought this will probably shoot me in the foot if the opportunity for a longer job comes along. But Julia Crampsie – who is the casting director here – basically said to my agent, ‘Look, he’s going to play a Mitchell.’ "
