EastEnders’ Stacey Branning will be struck with another blow later this month after her boyfriend Martin Fowler and newborn baby son Arthur are involved in a nasty car crash.
The bolshie market stall holder – played by Lacey Turner – will hit another bump in her road to recovery when she learns her lover (James Bye) and little one have had a brush with death following a near-fatal accident on the road.
The fruit and veg flogger is hit with a bolt of bad luck when he’s forced to take Arthur to Bristol with him to look at another mother and baby unit for Stacey, who is currently in hospital with postpartum psychosis, after he fails to persuade his ex-wife Sonia Jackson (Natalie Cassidy) to look after the tot.
However, the long-winded trip ends in disaster when the pair are involved in a frightening smash on the way up to Bristol.
The incident will no doubt halt Stacey’s recovery after she begs doctors to let her leave the mental health facility and return home to Walford upon hearing the devastating news.
But as doctors assess her, the brunette beauty – who battles with Bipolar Disorder – struggles to answer the questions.
Once she opens up, the specialist gives Stacey – who was sectioned under the mental health act last month – the choice of staying voluntarily at the hospital or continuing her treatment from home, but her decision is yet to be revealed.
