EastEnders’ Kim Fox-Hubbard has a "rocky road" ahead.
The larger-than-life mother – portrayed by Tameka Empson – may be the life and soul of the party but things are set to take a detour this autumn when she’s slapped with bad news.
Tameka explained: "Kim has a rocky road ahead of her with a story coming up in the autumn.
"It’s going to be hard to play, as in real life I’m very good at the thing Kim is going to be doing – but Kim is not! I’m hoping the nation will be behind her new journey because, while it will be emotional for her, the audience might find it funny."
And, although she’s gearing herself up to play a heartbreaking storyline, the 39-year-old actress has thoroughly enjoyed working with her on-screen baby daughter Pearl on set and loves how extravagant her alter-ego is.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said: "I love that Kim’s daughter, Pearl, is her mini-me, and that they wear matching outfits. And art imitates life because I actually do a little bit of that with my own daughter – but not quite to the same extent as Kim!"
