Eamonn Holmes to return to Good Morning Britain

Eamonn Holmes is to fill in for Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on ‘Good Morning Britain’ next week.
The 57-year-old presenter – who fronts ‘This Morning’ with his wife Ruth Langsford every Friday – will be stepping in again for the presenting duo while they take annual leave from the breakfast show.
He’ll be joined by his former ‘Sunrise’ colleague Charlotte Hawkins on the sofa between May 29 and 31.
Neil Thompson, the editor of the ITV, said: "Eamonn is a phenomenal broadcaster and journalist and it was great having him on the ‘GMB’ team over Easter.
"I’m looking forward to having him back in the studio next week."
The Irish journalist is certainly no stranger to breakfast television as he presented ‘GM:TV’ for 12 years until 2005 alongside Fiona Phillips, before he moved to Sky News’ ‘Sunrise’, which he presented for 11 years, until his departure in October.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Eamonn said: "I feel very rested after my exit. I’ve had my lie in and I’ve recharged my batteries and I think I’ve healed very well. So I think I am ready to go back somewhere."
And Eamonn has admitted he’d even be open to a return to Sky News in the future.
He explained: "I think that would great if there was the right opening. I would go back, yes. It was such a wonderful experience. You don’t get the opportunity to do that sort of broadcasting. ‘This Morning’ is live, but Sky News is even more edgy than ‘This Morning’ because anything can happen. I miss it, I suppose I am addicted to that sort of adrenaline. I’ve been doing this since 1980.
"Five days a week live TV so I suppose I am a bit addicted that’s my thing. Live programming to be able to do it, there is not many people who do do it. So yeah I’ll be looking for something when I go back to give me the buzz."
