Dwayne Johnson’s busy schedule is holding up the production for ‘G.I. Joe 3’.
The 44-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as Marvin F. Hinton/ Roadblock in the upcoming movie, but Byung-hun Lee, who is to appear as Tommy Arashikage/ Storm Shadow again, revealed the wrestling legend’s other work commitments are delaying the start of filming.
He said: "I heard from the studio that there’s a possibility to do the third one, but I think they’re waiting for the actors’ schedules.
"They’re arranging the schedules for the actors, especially Dwayne Johnson."
Lee admitted he often talks to Ray Park – who played Storm Shadow’s enemy Snake Eyes in the first two movies in the series, 2009’s ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra’ and 2013’s ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ – about returning for a third film in the franchise.
He added to LRM: "Him and I always talk about those kinds of ideas and some other projects and what if we do some things. We always talk, but it’s just talk."
‘G.I. Joe 3’ is expected to focus on Johnson’s character Roadblock, but details about the possibility of a third movie are yet to be revealed.
Johnson appeared in action comedy movie ‘Central Intelligence’ in June alongside Kevin Hart.
The pair starred as two former school friends who teamed up to save the world from a terrorist.
What’s more, Johnson is to reprise his role as Luke Hobbs in ‘Fast 8’, the eighth movie in the ‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise, next year.
And also in 2017, he will appear as Mitch Buchannon in a film version of popular 1990s TV series ‘Baywatch’, in which David Hasselhoff initially starred as the main character.
The film will see Johnson act alongside Zac Efron and Priyanka Chopra.
