Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge uses an £11 hairbrush to keep her locks looking gorgeous.
The 34-year-old royal is famed for her bouncy brunette hairstyle and now her stylist, Richard Ward, has revealed her secret – a hairbrush called the Tangle Angel.
He told People magazine: "I always brush the hair through with my antibacterial and anti-static Tangle Angel."
He says the brush – which retails at £10.95 – builds the foundation for the perfect blow dry, and is great for "lifting the hair from the roots to really get to the cuticle".
As well as the Tangle Angel, Richard also uses the Shine Angel bristle brush, which costs just £13.95, to give the duchess’ hair extra bounce.
He said: "It’s very very important to use a real bristle brush. With this brush the bristles lie flat and as the hair is pulled through it sits on the barrel at exactly the same time at exactly the same level, that forces the cuticles to close and that will give you the best opportunity to get the Chelsea blow dry."
The hair guru is also a fan of rollers for an extra-long lasting blow dry and turning the hairdryer to a low setting is also essential for a frizz-free style that will last longer than the average wash and go.
He explained: "Hair should be pulled up as you put the rollers in, and it should be kept tight."
He describes Catherine’s look as a "hairstyle that is well finished" and admits it may take a couple of practices to get it right.
