Duchess Catherine is busy planning Princess Charlotte’s first birthday.
The royal will turn one next week on May 2 and Catherine has been hard at work ensuring the bash goes off without a hitch and also that Charlotte’s brother Prince George, two, doesn’t feel left out.
Sarah Dixon, a maternity nurse who has worked for friends of Catherine and her husband Prince William, told PEOPLE: "Normally for a high-profile child’s birthday, the invite goes out six months prior to the event. These people have busy diaries!"
"George will enjoy all the birthday festivities, and I’m sure there will be a few of his friends invited too. He’ll help Charlotte open all her gifts – older siblings love to do that!"
The party is expected to be held at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, Catherine and William’s country home and no doubt Catherine will be getting tips from her family, who run a party planning business, Party Pieces.
Last year her mother Carole Middleton wrote in Little London magazine: "We’ve always believed that parties do not have to be lavish and expensive occasions, and it’s amazing what you can achieve by being clever and creative."
