Drew Barrymore ‘best friends’ with former sister-in-law

Drew Barrymore is still "best friends" with her estranged husband’s sister.
The 41-year-old actress recently split from Will Kopelman – the father of her daughters Olive, three, and Frankie, two – after almost four years of marriage but she has maintained her close friendship with his sister Jill Kargman and recently filmed a guest appearance on her show ‘Odd Mom Out’.
Jill’s co-star Andy Buckley told PEOPLE: "She and Jill are still best friends and everybody’s still super close even though there’s trouble, obviously.
"You wouldn’t think, ‘Oh, there’s trouble,’ because it certainly didn’t appear that way."
And Andy was hugely impressed with Drew when she filmed her guest appearance.
He said: "She couldn’t be sweeter, She’s like this super relaxed Topanga, if you will, relaxed hippie feeling girl almost. She’s incredibly funny. I didn’t really know how funny she is."
When the couple announced that they were separating, Drew and Will insisted it didn’t make them any less of a family.
They said in a statement: "Sadly, our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family.
"Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on."
But Drew called the breakdown of their marriage "shameful" and admitted it made her feel like a failure.
She said: "I put in my statement, about [our] divorce, the word ‘failure,’ because it’s so honest.
"When you break up with somebody, you’re like, ‘Yeah, that didn’t work,’ [but] when you get divorced you’re like, ‘I’m the biggest failure. This is the biggest failure’.
"It’s so shameful and hard to actually go through that, even privately.
"It’s a tough time. It’s a hard thing to go through. It’s like your being put on a cheese grater and every second, going, ‘Ah! This wasn’t the plan!’ "
