Dr. Dre has splashed out $4.9 million on a new Los Angeles mansion.
The 53-year-old rapper has forked out the huge sum for a six-bedroom plush pad which comes with a large master suite complete with a fireplace, in a Mediterranean-style estate in Calabasas.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Dre’s new property is pretty spacious with close to 9,400 square feet of living space.
There is a modern home theatre system, which could be ideal if Dre wants to watch 2001 movie ‘Training Day’, in which he played Paul, or if he’s in the mood for a laugh he could put on 2001 comedy film ‘The Wash’, in which he starred opposite Snoop Dogg.
Dre fans will be particularly excited to hear his new home has an acoustically engineered studio, which may spark speculation he is to release new solo material, a potential follow up to 2015 album ‘Compton’.
But after a long hard day at work in the studio, the ‘I Need a Doctor’ hitmaker can enjoy a relaxing soak in one of the 5.75 bathrooms in the impressive abode.
The massive mansion, which is in a gated community, also has a games room, the perfect place to play 2005 video game ’50 Cent: Bulletproof’, in which Dre voiced character Grizz.
But if active games are more his thing nowadays then Dre could enjoy a spot of tennis on his outdoor tennis courts before having a chilled-out dip in the swimming pool, which also has a spa.
After working up an appetite, the rapper may well cook up a storm on the BBQ centre and fire pit, while admiring the picturesque mountain views the property has to offer.
