Donna Air has signed up to ‘Dancing on Ice’ to get a "nice firm bottom."
The 38-year-old TV personality is convinced the forthcoming series of the skating show will be "great" because bosses have managed to secure some "really fun people" for the line-up and, although she’s currently like "Bambi on ice", she’s hoping her stint on the rink will give her peachy posterior and some washboard abs.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (03.11.17), she said: "I’m doing ‘Dancing on Ice’. It’s absolutely terrifying and it’s exciting though. It’s going to a great series because they’ve got some really fun people lined up.
"I’ve started training but I discovered the headbanger [a move in which the female is swung around by her feet with her head just centimetres from the ice] after I joined.
"The first thing I said is: ‘I’m not doing the headbanger.’ I can dance in the kitchen on a Friday night so we’ll just see. It’s really difficult and there’s loads of work because apparently my posture is terrible and I need to build more core strength.
"Hopefully I leave with a nice firm bottom and a six-pac. I think it’ll be an amazing experience, get a bit stronger and fitter by the end of it. I haven’t got a bottom. It’s already going up [getting uplifted] at the moment – going in the right direction."
Producers are slowly announcing the line-up for the reboot and, so far, it’s been confirmed that cricketer Monty Panesar, Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown, rugby hunk Max Evans, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent, Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker, Alex Beresford and Jake Quickenden will take part.
More celebrities will be announced in due course but, for now, it’s been confirmed that acid-tongue Australian Jason Gardiner has reclaimed his position on the judging panel alongside Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – who previously mentored the contestants but have now switched positions – and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return as hosts.
