Donna Air has been "ruled out" of doing the headbanger on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 38-year-old actress has revealed she’s been banned from doing the notorious move – which sees the female skater swung around by her feet with her head just centimetres from the ice – during the new series of the skating show because she’s too tall and there’s no way her partner could lift her high enough to avoid the rink.
She told Mirror TV: "I’ve been ruled out of doing the headbanger because I’m too tall!"
However, her fellow competitor Kem Cetinay – who is 5ft7 tall – would like to become the first male contestant on the show to attempt the dangerous headbanger on screen.
He quipped: "Maybe I can be the first male celeb to be thrown around instead?"
The 21-year-old hunk has been partnered with professional skater Alex Murphy and he has admitted they’re so close because they spend five hours a day with each other.
He explained: "You get really close with them though, like I FaceTime her mum and boyfriend after the session and I’m ruined. Because her mum’s a coach as well so I chat to them, but you’re with them all the time."
While training for the competition, Kem split up with his girlfriend Amber Davies – who he met and fell in love with on ‘Love Island’ over the summer – but they’re both adamant the ITV show didn’t have anything to do with their decision to separate.
They said in a statement: "With sadness, we’ve decided to separate.
"We fell in love in the villa and want to thank all the fans of the show for supporting us.
"Our schedules made it difficult. We’ll remain good friends."
‘Dancing on Ice’ will return to screens on January 7 at 6pm on ITV1.
