Dolly Parton and Katy Perry duet at ACM Awards

Dolly Parton and Katy Perry performed together for the first time at the Academy Of Country Music Awards last night (03.04.16).
The country music legend teamed up with the ‘Roar’ hitmaker to sing a medley of her hits, including ‘Coat Of Many Colors’ and ‘Jolene’ at the MGM Grand, before concluding their pulsating performance with a version of Dolly’s ‘Nine to Five’.
Katy, 31, and the 70-year-old star exchanged comical comments throughout their double act, as Dolly joked she will "kick" the ‘Firework’ singer’s "butt" during a dramatic duet of ‘Jolene’, and the raven-haired stunner appeared to refer to the pair’s ample assets.
She said: "We’re known for some of the biggest … songs in our fields."
Before the pair kicked off their performance, Katy joked the crowd they had "finally got me in a pair of boots", and she drew comparisons to her and Dolly’s religious backgrounds.
She said: "Her grandpa was a preacher, my father was a preacher."
Dolly was also at the star-studded event to pick up the Tex Ritter Award for her biographical film ‘Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors’.
The singing superstar, who aptly wore a multi-coloured coat at the ceremony, praised the cast as she accepted her accolade.
She said: "I hope you like my coat I had to do something to overcome the leggy women I’m working with here."
