Kelly Osbourne’s dog was attacked at LAX airport in Los Angeles earlier this week.
The 32-year-old television personality has filed a complaint to JetBlue – the low cost airline she regularly flies with – after she found out the Pit Bull Terrier who pounced on her pet pooch Polly, a timid Teacup Pomeranian, in the car park prior to her flight was allowed to fly with its owner on board the same plane after passing a safety check.
According to TMZ, the airport staff gave the offending dog a cursory check before deeming it safe to board and allowing it to sit just 10 rows behind Kelly in first class.
Despite the attack leaving her barking mad, Kelly’s dog was unharmed in the scuffle.
Speaking to photographers after the incident, Kelly said: "Pit Bulls are just different types of dogs. He got a little aggressive but everything was fine. He’s a beautiful dog."
The former ‘Fashion Police’ star – who is the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne – got Polly in May last year after she splashed out a reported $11,000 to have her four-legged friend flown from her breeder in England to Los Angeles – where Kelly lives.
Although she’s only tiny – weighing between 1.4 to 3.2 kg – Polly wasted no time winning over Kelly’s heart as she has rarely left her side since she joined the showbiz family.
Polly even joined Kelly at the amFAR Inspiration Gala in June and featured in a recent Humane Society International campaign against the Chinese Yulin Dog Meat Festival.
The purple-haired beauty also has two other dogs called Sid and Nancy, which she named after the late Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.
