Dianne Buswell will perform on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ this weekend, despite her head injury.
The professional dancer had to be taken to hospital after falling eight foot from above her celebrity partner Dev Griffin’s shoulders as he tried to rotate her during rehearsals but she has been cleared by doctors and is set to perform on Saturday (05.10.19).
A source told MirrorOnline: "There was an incident and Dianne went to get checked over.
"She’s absolutely fine and performing tomorrow night."
Dev was said to have been distraught by the accident and felt "100 per cent responsible".
An insider told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "Dev let her slip from his grasp and Dianne fell and landed on her head. It couldn’t have been worse. It was horrible to watch Dianne lying prostrate on the floor. Dev was desperate at what had happened. It was a total accident but he felt 100 per cent responsible. He was praying that there was no serious damage – the worst case scenario was that she had some internal head injuries. She plunged a long way and he couldn’t help but panic about what he’d done. Dev insisted on going to hospital and looked in total shock. He was wringing his hands and just staring at the floor as Dianne was checked over."
Dianne was diagnosed with whiplash at North London’s Barnet Hospital before being sent home.
And after her release, she took to Instagram to share a video of Dev rehearsing alone, with the caption: "He does not stop even if I’m not there."
