Dermot O’Leary: X Factor panel will ‘keep me on my toes’

Dermot O’Leary has joked the new ‘X Factor’ panel will "keep him on his toes".
The 43-year-old TV personality – who will return to host the talent show after he was replaced by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack in last year’s series following his eight-year run – has admitted he will have to up to keep a close eye on the new line-up, featuring Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell, when the show returns to screens later this year for another installment.
Following the announcement the judges will saddle up alongside the 56-year-old music mogul, Dermot wrote on Twitter: "Well … That’ll keep me on my toes (sic)."
However, not everyone is as enthusiastic about the new panel, as Matt Cardle – who won the programme in 2010 – thinks Simon should have brought back his old mentor Dannii Minogue because she actually cares about her acts.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ this morning (01.06.16), the 33-year-old singer said:"It’s a shame that she’s [Dannii’s] not going back on the panel this year for that reason. Dannii was the only judge who really cared about her acts."
The new line-up comes just months after Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw stepped down from the panel following a plunge in ratings last year.
