Dennis Rodman arrested for DUI

Dennis Rodman has been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
The 56-year-old retired basketball player was pulled over by the police on Saturday (13.01.18) in Newport Beach, California, and was taken to a nearby police station after failing field sobriety and breathalyser tests.
According to TMZ, the former sportsman blew over .08 the legal limit.
Dennis stayed in jail for seven hours until police thought he was sober enough to be released.
The ex-Chicago Bulls star’s agent Darren Prince admitted Dennis – who went to rehab in 2014 – has "struggled openly with alcoholism the past 17 years" and has recently been going through some "major personal issues".
Speaking to ‘CNN Sunday’, he said: "He’s been dealing with some major personal issues the last month and I know it’s time he checks back into a rehab centre to work through them.
"We ask for his fans and others to pray for him because he’s such a great person when he’s sober and deserves to be happy with all the joy he gave his fans when he played in the NBA. Now it’s time for him to rebound in life."
In 2000, Dennis pleaded guilty to a DUI following a December 1999 arrest and had to attend a three-month alcohol programme.
The former hoops shooter is known to be good pals with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, and recently admitted he gets together with the controversial politician for karaoke nights.
He said: "It was the fact that he loves basketball and I think that’s the key for anything in the world – basketball and music. I think that’s a great connection for anyone in the world, it so happens it has to be me. He obviously likes the Chicago Bulls, he asked me to come over and I said yes.
"It’s amazing how we became such good friends with Russia all of a sudden with Donald Trump. For years and years over the course of time we became such a great relationship with Russia all of a sudden in America. But for some reason we have a big issue with North Korea.
"For me to go over there and see him as much as I have, I basically hang out with him all the time, we laugh, we sing karaoke, we do a lot of cool things together. We ride horses, we hang out, we go skiing, we hardly ever talk politics and that’s the good thing about that."
