Davina McCall is in talks to front her own lighthearted lifestyle chat show.
The 48-year-old presenter has reportedly been holding discussions for a new programme that is both fun and informative so she can bring her warm personality and "energy" that she is known for to millions of viewers, however, she is yet to sign a contract.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Davina is always up for trying new things and this project is something that would be unlike anything she has done before.
"The phrase being used to describe the idea is that it would be a ‘Modern Lifestyle Show’.
"It sounds like something perhaps with elements of ‘The One Show’ or ‘This Morning’ along with the warmth and energy Davina brings to every project.
"Nothing has been signed but talks are positive and Davina is interested in seeing if it can work."
The brunette beauty had a stab at doing her own serious style chat show, ‘Davina’, in February 2006 for BBC1, however, it was axed in the April of that year after receiving low ratings.
However, should she ink a deal for her new idea she is believed to be planning on making it more of a magazine show than a full on hard-hitting show.
The TV insider added: "It would give her the best of both worlds as she could have guests, but that would only be one part of the mix.
"Davina wouldn’t want to try a straight chat show again, but this project would have guests and different segments, and be more of a magazine show."
Davina – who has two daughters, Holly, 14, and Tilly, 12, and nine-year-old son Chester with her husband Matthew Robertson – currently has a new series of Channel 4’s ‘The Jump’ to present in 2017 and further episodes of ‘Long Lost Family’ with Nicky Campbell, which sees the pair aim to reunite family members after years of separation.
