David Schwimmer to be CBeebies Bedtime Story reader

David Schwimmer will be one of ‘CBeebies Bedtime Story’ readers.
The 53-year-old actor is the latest in a string of stars to appear on the show and he will read the latest book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler titled ‘The Smeds And The Smoos’.
It tells the tale about a pair of aliens from two rival groups who fall in love, sparking strong disapproval from their families.
A BBC spokesperson said: "’The Smeds and The Smoos’ is the latest book from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler about aliens who never mix so, when a young Smed and Smoo fall in love, their families strongly disapprove.
"Can peace be restored and love conquer all in this story about difference and tolerance?"
The former ‘Friends’ star will help parents tuck their kids into bed on Saturday (22.02.20) at 6:50pm, following the footsteps of past celebrities such as Tom Hardy, Suranne Jones, Eddie Redmayne, David Tennant, Damian Lewis, Tim Peake and ‘Avengers’ actor Chris Evans.
Gregory Porter became the first star to sing a CBeebies Bedtime Story back in November.
The jazz singer belted out ‘Moon River’ when he appeared on the children’s bedtime show as part of BBC Teach’s Bring the Noise campaign – which aims to help children to discover the joys of music-making – whilst Chip Crawford accompanied him on the piano.
The Grammy award-winner sang the classic song whilst a clip of book illustrations by Tim Hopgood was screened.
