David Otunga is to star in new movie ‘Live to Tell’.
The 36-year-old WWE wrestler-and-commentator – who is engaged to Jennifer Hudson – has been cast as a police captain, who has to respond to shooting at a school in the film, which will have an anti-bullying message.
A description of the plot reveals a "school teacher is stuck in the midst of a school shooting".
Otunga is expected to start filming the action drama in August, and he will be working the shooting schedule around his commitments as a commentator on WWE TV shows ‘Superstars’ and ‘Main Event’.
He is set to begin firearms training later this month for his role.
The two-time WWE Tag Team champion has some prior acting experience and appeared in 2013 thriller ‘The Call’.
Otunga also appeared on reality dating show ‘I Love New York 2’ in 2007, making it to the final three contestants in the competition before he was eliminated.
Otunga and Hudson have six-year-old son David Daniel Otunga Jr. together and have been engaged for seven years.
