David Haye planning Boxers Do Dancing show

David Haye is planning to create a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’-style show for boxers.
The former heavyweight champion is keen to see fighters swap their boxing gloves for ballroom dancing shoes in a programme called ‘Boxers Do Dancing’.
He said: "The idea is to have boxers do some ballroom dancing for a show.
"I want to put some boards down on the boxing ring."
David is confident he can attract some huge Hollywood names for the show, such as ‘Legend’ actor Tom Hardy – who portrayed mixed martial arts fighter Tommy Riordan in 2011 drama movie ‘Warrior’ – and ‘Luther’ star Idris Elba.
He said: "I love a movie star who has some connections to fighting. Idris Elba has done some Thai kickboxing and Tom Hardy, he did it too in the movie ‘Warrior’.
"I’m trying to get some of those big names connected."
But David insists there is no chance he will be strutting his stuff on the dance floor as he’d much prefer to act as a judge on the programme.
He added to The Sun newspaper: "I’ll be a judge, you don’t want to see me dance. I ain’t winning anything.
"I do the boxing and leave the dancing to the other guys."
David finished third on the 12th series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, but at the time his mum Jane admitted she would’ve preferred he signed up to ‘Strictly…’.
She said: "When he said he was doing this I said to him, ‘Why don’t you do the dancing show instead?’ "
Several boxers have taken part in ‘Strictly…’ over the years, including Joe Calzaghe, Audley Harrison and Anthony Ogogo, but neither got near the Glitterball Trophy.
However, Joe did taste success of some sort as a result of the series as afterwards he went on to date his professional dancing partner Kristina Rihanoff, but they later broke up.
