David Goyer will direct ‘The Breach’.
The 48-year-old filmmaker is set to helm the sci-fi flick which is based on Patrick Lee’s 2009 novel of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing while Nellie Stevens-Reed of Goyer’s production company Phantom 4, will co-produce.
Justin Rhodes – who is currently writing ‘Unmanned’ – is penning the script which is based on the first of a trilogy – ‘Breach’ is followed by ‘Ghost Country’ and ‘Deep Sky’.
The story is about former police officer Travis Chase who discovers a plane crash in the Alaskan wilderness and is forced to deal with a secret organisation called Tangent.
Goyer has penned the script for the ‘Blade’ trilogy, Christopher Nolan’s ‘Batman’ trilogy, ‘Dark City’ and most recently Zack Snyder’s ‘Man of Steel’ starring Henry Cavill.
In addition he directed ‘Zig Zag’, ‘Blade: Trinity’, ‘The Invisible’, and 2009’s supernatural thriller ‘The Unborn’ which stars Odette Yustman as female lead Casey Beldon.
