Darth Vader is set to appear in ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.
Rumours surrounding the return of the Sith lord have been circulating as of late and he is now expected to make his return to the screen after eagle-eyed fans spotted him front and centre in a page from ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – The Official Visual Story Guide’.
It is not yet known who will portray the legendary character in the film, which is slated for release on December 16.
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Alexandre Desplat would be providing the score for the spin-off film.
The 54-year-old film composer – who is known for his Academy Award-winning music as heard in ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ – was excited about starting work on the science fiction franchise shortly.
Speaking about the project, he said: "No that will come in a few weeks. I saw the trailer of course, yes. Very exciting. Gareth [Edwards] is a fantastic director and he will do a beautiful film I’m sure."
In the hotly-anticipated film, Felicity Jones takes the lead role as Rebellion fighter Jyn Erso whilst Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk will also star in the movie.
