Danny Jones has no intention of signing up to ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The McFly singer’s band mate Dougie Poynter may have won over the hearts of the nation to be crowned the king of the jungle when he took part in the reality TV show in 2011, but the 31-year-old hunk isn’t planning to follow in his footsteps any time soon.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "There’s no reason for me to do the jungle."
But it’s hardly surprising he’s ruled out the creepy crawly gig at the moment as the guitarist is reportedly being lined up to claim a seat on ‘The Voice’ mentoring panel next year after he impressed bosses with his recent stint on ‘The Voice Kids’.
Producers are on the hunt for someone new after Gavin Rossdale – who joined the show in 2016 when it moved from the BBC to ITV – was recently given the axe.
An insider said recently: "Gavin was great to work with during the series, but the bosses just felt he wasn’t right in the end. He didn’t make much of an impact, and they want someone with serious spark and charisma. So they have taken the decision that he won’t be back next year. Danny is currently one of the favourites to replace him."
Not only is he wanted for jobs but Danny is also gearing up to become a father for the first time after he and his wife Georgia found out they were expecting recently.
He said a few months ago: "I think we’re having a boy. I’m going to be a mess at the birth – when I find out if we have a son or a daughter, when I meet him or her. I’d love to know but we’ve decided we want to have that big surprise."
Model Georgia added: "They are going to need a mop for our tears in the delivery room – we are going to be so emotional. Even when we walked in for the first scan I started crying. All they’d said to us was hello."
