Danny John-Jules says he should’ve expressed his "gratitude" to his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner Amy Dowden "more often".
The ‘Red Dwarf’ star and the pro dancer were eliminated from the programme on Sunday night (11.11.18) after losing out in a dance-off against Graeme Swann and Oti Mabuse, and he has praised Amy for "inspiring" him throughout the series and teaching him numerous moves.
He wrote on Twitter: "I should of have expressed my gratitude more often. You truly inspired me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the knowledge I have taken away with me, curtesy of your good self. (sic)"
Danny’s tweet comes after 27-year-old Amy told him to be "proud" of his ‘Strictly’ routines after he scored the first 10 out of 10 of the series.
She tweeted: "you should be so proud of the performances you produced! The nation got to see the talented performing Danny again! Your beautiful family I know are bursting with pride! The first 10 of the series and my first 10 for our jive is a moment I’ll never forget! (sic)"
Danny’s latest Twitter exchange comes after he called former ‘Strictly’ pro James Jordan "big man" yesterday (11.11.18), after the performer tweeted that the ‘Death in Paradise’ actor’s mum looked "miserable" during the show.
The 58-year-old actor wrote: "So you take the p**s out of an 82 YO woman with Alzheimers #BigMan (sic)"
Danny’s wife Petula Langlais had earlier shot to her mother-in-law’s defence, too.
She tweeted James saying: "Out of order! Attacking an elderly woman who has done nothing to you! You know nothing about our personal lives! That is below the belt!!! Love and light to you (sic)"
James then replied: "I just stated facts… said what everyone was thinking.
Not attacking anyone.
She did look miserable when the camera was on her, but I’m sure she is a lovely lady
No malice intended
But everyone gets offended over everything nowadays (sic)"
