Danny Dyer’s fiancée has turned into a "bridezilla."
The ‘EastEnders’ hunk has left his wedding preparation to his lover Joanne Mas but has admitted, as their big day creeps closer, the brunette beauty is becoming more of a handful.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, he said: "’I finally understand the meaning of the word ‘bridezilla’. The stress that Jo seems to be under is off the scale. I am only now starting to think about my whistle [the abbreviated term for Cockney rhyming slang’s ‘whistle and flute’, which means ‘suit’]. I want to go for a Sean Connery vibe. I love the 1960s and would love a ’60s-style suit with a crisp white shirt and skinny black tie."
And, although he’s trying to take a backseat when it comes to their nuptials, the 38-year-old actor has tried to inject his own little bit of heritage into their Spanish-themed ceremony.
He explained: "I have suggested having a stylish version of pie and mash with liquor and chilli vinegar on a spoon.
"I was going to have jellied eels but I’m not sure that everyone will like them. But we may have mini ham, egg and chips, which is what I was brought up on."
Meanwhile, the smitten couple may have been together since 1992 but Danny is struggling to manage his nerves.
He said: "You’d think that I would be prepared for my own wedding day, but I am very nervous about it."
The pair, whose children Danni, 19, Sunnie, nine and Arty, two, will be heavily involved in their wedding, are set to tie knot in September in the English countryside.
