Danny Dyer wants his daughter to join ‘EastEnders’.
The 38-year-old actor – who is known for playing loveable pub landlord Mick Carter in the long-running soap – is reportedly trying to persuade bosses to cast his eldest child Dani, 19, as one of the troublesome Carter clan in the show.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, a source said: "Danny reckons he has the power to get Dani in as a permanent star on ‘EastEnders’ … Dani has the potential to be a big star and her dad is hugely supportive of her. Given how popular he is on the show she is in a great position, too."
The hunky star has even taken the teenager to work with him in the hope that bosses can see her star potential.
The insider said: "He has been putting the odd word in with the producers and has brought her down to the set."
Meanwhile, if she does get the role, this won’t be the first time the father-and-daughter duo have worked alongside one another as Danny previously starred alongside Dani in the 2013 flick ‘Vendetta’ and helped her land her first lead role in the gritty film ‘We Still Kill The Old Way’, a year later.
