Danny Baker says Ian Wright should get voted out first from ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 62-year-old broadcaster – who went into the jungle three years ago and was the first to be booted out of the camp – has responded to rumours his friend is set to appear on the ITV reality show this year, and he advised him to leave earlier and enjoy a holiday in Australia.
He’s quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "If you’re going to come out of the jungle then come out first.
"You’re going to have the time of your life. It’s a sweet gig – and I’ve had some sweet gigs.
"I’ve been to World Cups and had my life story made into films and stuff. The second best ever gig was the jungle – it was tremendous."
Broadcaster Danny also suggested the retired footballer shouldn’t fear the trials on the show, and he insisted the crew can be a calming influence.
He added: "You’ll have a snake on your head, you look at the crew and they’re all laughing. You’re not on your own."
Meanwhile, Ian’s fellow TV pundit Gary Lineker recently teased his ‘Match of the Day’ co-star over speculation linking him to the reality favourite.
The 58-year-old presenter repeatedly hinted that Ian is poised to swap the show’s TV studio for the Australian jungle, where he could be about to join the likes of Kate Garraway and Roman Kemp on the ITV programme.
During the football highlights show, Gary alluded to Ian "passing all the trials", seemingly in reference to ‘I’m a Celebrity’.
He also asked: "You all right Ian, I’m not bugging you?"
And later, Gary said: "Wrighty’s off to eat leaves."
